Pittsburgh Winter Wedding | Chad + Caitlin

Nazari and I had the chance to meet Chad and Caitlin for coffee at one of our favorite spots last spring. We have had a blast getting to know them and have been looking forward to their romantic winter wedding day for months!

There were so many factors that made us immediately fall in love with these two. First of all - they share the same love we have for the Steel City! You may remember them from their North Shore engagement session last summer! In addition, these two are both so intelligent: Caitlin a nurse and Chad a lawyer. They have a pup named Cooper that they adore (who even made an appearance at their wedding!) But more than anything, they are so genuinely kind, and instantly make everyone around them feel comfortable and at ease.

Another fun fact about these two is that one of their favorite places in the world is Disney. They have season passes almost every year and aim to get to Florida as much as possible! But on December 9, the fairy tale came to them. Their wedding day was nothing short of magical and there was no question that Caitlin is indeed a real life princess.

What is most remarkable about this fairy tale are the logistical obstacles this pair had to overcome along the way:

Caitlin ordered her bridesmaids dresses from Alfred Angelo. Because the company randomly went bankrupt, two of her bridesmaids did not receive their dresses. Then, they found out that there was talk that a new company might buy their reception venue and turn it into a nursing home! For most of July and August they had no idea if the Embassy Suites would still be a hotel in December, or if they would have to find a new venue. Although they soon learned that the Embassy Suites would definitely be renovated into a nursing home, it thankfully would not be until after their wedding! In addition this poor bride got a ring stuck on her finger just days before her wedding that had to quite literally be sawed off her finger.

But despite the adversity the faced leading up to their big day, their wedding went off without a hitch. From the moment we arrived at Embassy Suites the morning of their wedding day, they made us feel more like guests and friends than vendors. We were blown away by their kindness had had SO MUCH FUN with them all day long.

When getting married in December, you never really know what to expect. But Chad and Caitlin were blessed with a beautiful day of sunshine! It may not have been warm outside, but it was far from the sub zero temps we've been having recently. (Plus, Caitlin gifted her bridesmaids with cute wraps AND plenty of hand-warmers!)

They had a traditional wedding day infused with personality and the most elegant and fun details. They both felt strongly that the first time Chad would see his bride would be when she walked down the aisle - and it was so worth it!

These two are simply amazing together. And have built a beautiful life together. We cannot wait to see what is in store for them as the embark on a new year and a new adventure as husband and wife! Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Talotta!
