While both in Nantucket for a sailboat race, Pete and Alanna’s paths fatefully crossed. Pete attended the Berkeley college of music, and played in a band that was performing while Alanna was in town. Prior to the band’s show, Pete and Alanna connected at the hotel bar.
A friend of Alanna’s later shared with her how that guy - Pete - played guitar in a band. Alanna thought her friend was just making up a story about him and laughed it off. Until later that night when she realized the story was true!
They texted on and off after that. And at first, Pete didn’t think Alanna was interested. But after talking it over with his sister, he realized that he just needed to up his game and be more direct. So Pete went for it. He asked Alanna on a date. She said yes! And so began their glorious, adventurous, dream of a love story.
This past June 25, they were the 25th couple to tie the knot at Pete’s family’s beloved estate endearingly referred to as “The Farm”. They planned the most picturesque French country affair to celebrate their story with all of their favorite people.
From the brides custom dress, to the special music throughout the day, to the bride and her dad’s first dance to a song from Annie that they performed when Alanna was 5, to the iconic Farm traditions, a sparkler exit, and epic after party, these two certainly know how to have a good time and throw one hell of an unforgettable party!
What a joy it was to share in their celebration and document the magic that is them together. We are so happy for you, Mr. & Mrs. Kendall!!
