Thanks to modern technology and the dating app Hinge - Emile and Nancy connected. Their first date over dinner at Sienna Mercato found them lost in conversation for hours. They quickly found that they shared a love for family, faith, travel and adventure.
As the days passed, any walls either of them had up began to fall. Nancy saw how much Emile cared for her, and celebrated her originality - creating a safe space for her to be wholly and completely free and herself.
Since the beginning of their relationship, they have committed to a formal date night each and every Friday! (#goals) Nancy and Emile began to spend time learning and caring about what the other was passionate about. For Nancy, that meant learning about football and cheering for the Steelers. For Emile, that meant embracing sustainability and care for the earth in a whole new way.
That devotion for the city of Pittsburgh, and for the earth, made the Convention Center an idyllic venue for Nancy and Emile to celebrate their marriage. With its iconic views of the city skyline and its innovative and environmentally responsible design - it was the perfect match. Not to mention, it's located just blocks from where they had their first date.
Surrounded by earthy colors, and their large network of close friends and beloved family, they began their life together as husband and wife with an epic party, fabulous dancing, and homage to their heritage. During their ceremony, they even planted a tree with soil they had each collected from their respective homes.
We cannot wait to see these two bright souls continue to take on the world together. Congratulations to the newlyweds, Nancy and Emile Khoury!
