Evan + Emmy were connected in college via a mutual friend. Evan was attending West Point and Emmy at Grove City College. They not only made the long distance work, but thrived. That should come as no surprise though if you know anything about these two people. They are the most vibrant, intentional, hard working, kind, generous, outstanding individuals who are, if possible, even better together.
They were married soon after graduation and embarked on army life as Evan served for six years on active military duty. Their journey took them international and state side through many moves and life changes and they always made the best of it all. We are so grateful to this sweet family and their service and sacrifice to our country.
Recently, they made the decision to leave the army, relocate to Nashville, and embark on law school - with hopes of eventually ending up back in Pittsburgh (something we certainly hope for as well!) In between relocating their lives, they were visiting family in the Steel City and we got the chance to meet up to document this exciting season of life.
Last time I got to see these two was when Emmy was pregnant with their now two year old, Liam. (You can check out that cute bump from their North Park maternity shoot here :) Thus, finally getting to meet him in person has been much anticipated and did not disappoint. He is as cute as you could imagine. And getting to see these two as parents was such an immense joy and inspiration.
We were blessed with the most beautiful weather as we ventured around Phipps and Panther Hollow documenting this beautiful family of three. It was truly a joy to see you three before your big move, and we wish you all the best as you begin your life in Tennessee!
