We met randomly one day at church in college. Nazari asked for my number on a flip phone so we could play racquetball… and while it took nine months to actually play,  we did start getting coffee—and from there, we just kept trying to see one another as much as possible.

He proposed at Heinz Field on our one-year anniversary, and like most love stories, ours started with excitement, ease, and all the butterflies.

Fifteen years in, we can tell you—marriage isn’t just the highlight reel.

​

It’s the adventure of a lifetime, yes… but anything meaningful comes with challenge. We’ve had to learn how to fight for our marriage, not against each other. How to apologize better, forgive quicker, and keep showing up—even on the days it would be easier not to.

​

We were married for nine years before becoming parents, and now our two little girls have completely reshaped our world (in mostly the best ways 😉). Somewhere between building a business, moving from Pittsburgh to North Florida in a leap of faith, and navigating real life—we’ve come to understand something deeply:
